What is Roll With It?

Roll With It (RWI) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sports training, competition, and recreation in a variety of wheelchair and adapted sports for individuals with physical disabilities. Giving them continuing lifelong opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other wheelchair athletes and the community.

Welcome our New Executive Director

Roll With It would like to welcome Jan Larson who is taking on the role of Executive Director for our growing organization.  More about Jan coming soon!  We would also like to thank our outgoing Executive Director and Founder, Heidi Schwichtenberg, for her dedication and vision for Roll With It.  Heidi will continue in a new role and assist Roll With It programs for many years to come.

What we do

Roll With It promotes disability awareness and develops athletic and recreational programs in Minnesota for adults and children with permanent physical disabilities. RWI also assists current and future wheelchair/adaptive sports teams and activity participants by raising money for sport wheelchairs, uniforms, equipment, officials and travel expenses to attend regional and national competitions.

How You Can Help

Volunteer

Roll With It is a volunteer-driven organization. Join us or recruit others. If you know any youth, high school or college students, retirees or others looking for a unique and rewarding experience, tell them about RWI. There are volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups, whether it"s a few hours per week, once a month or once a year. See our Blog With It page for volunteer opportunities.

Make A Donation

Roll With It compiles an annual "wish list" of specific items needed for our adapted sports programs, including recreation equipment, uniforms, facility time, travel, and advertising. Contributions of new and slightly used items are welcome.

Donate

Donate A Wheelchair

Recycle that old chair by giving to RWI to allow for individuals in need a chance to play sports and for wheelchair athletic presentations and demonstrations.

Choose Roll With It At Work

If you work for the federal or state government, or your workplace participates in a United Way campaign, designate part of your contribution to RWI or even become a sponsor.

Invest In The Future

Establish a permanent legacy for wheelchair and adapted sports in Minnesota through the RWI program. There are a limited number of wheelchair teams in MN and neighboring states, requiring some families to travel long distances just to attend a team practice. Roll With It wants to create more teams around the state to give everyone the chance to play.
