Joni & Friends - Young Life Family Camp Weekend
Joni and Friends – Minneapolis/St. Paul is very excited for the opportunity to provide a pilot weekend of Family Retreat. We are in need of 12 adult volunteers to serve as Short Term Missionaries to make this special weekend a reality. Held at Castaway Club on Pelican Lake
August 24th – 27th.
One very important piece that we provide each family that comes to a retreat is a family volunteer. This volunteer, which we call a Short Term Missionary, is another set of hands, another adult to support the family and assist the family member affected by disability. Your help will allow these families the opportunity to truly have a weekend vacation, while lightening the load of a 24/7 job; caring for and being a friend to their family member affected by disability. We will provide you with the training and tools you need to serve the family and the individuals. All that you need is the desire to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus offering practical help and assistance to each family.
Will you prayerfully consider joining us?
If so, you’ll help families experience all the excitement of being at camp…the recreation, the crafts, the games, and the outdoors. Together with other volunteers you’ll set an example of having fun and being still enough to hear the voice of God.
It takes just four days, and costs $93.00. I know this will be one of the best experiences you ever encountered!
