Northern Conference Scholarship & Academic Honors Applications
Attached please find the following items:
1. Northern Conference Academic Honors Application:
All student athletes are eligible to apply for this honor to be awarded at the Conference Tournament (mailed to those not attendance). The criteria are as follows:
* 1st Team: All A’s
* 2nd Team: All A’s and B’s
* Honorable Mention: All A’s, B’s and one C
Those applying should submit:
* the completed application,
* a copy of their first semester report card, and
* an essay on the topic: “How participation in wheelchair athletics helps me be a better student.” Students ages 8-14 should write 100-150 words; students ages 15-19 should write 200-250 words. (Seniors, see below.)
2. Northern Conference Scholarship Application:
All seniors in good standing are eligible to apply for this $500 scholarship to be announced at the Conference Tournament.
Those applying should submit:
* the completed application,
* a copy of their first semester report card, and
* an essay, 200-250 words in length, on the topic: “How participation in wheelchair athletics has prepared me for my future.” (Note: Applicants may use this essay to submit with their application for conference academic honors.)
The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient’s post-secondary school of choice.
